This statue is cast using a proprietary concrete mix. Nichols Bros. Stoneworks mix design allows our craftsmen to achieve a very high degree of detail and yet unlike many of our competitors, is able to withstand freezing without damage. This will provide the end user with years of enjoyment. Although our products are weatherproof, many of our pieces are used indoors in homes or offices.

Each piece is hand finished in one of five permanent stain colors. These finishes will not fade or wash away.

Our Western Red Cedar products are made in Lethbridge Alberta Canada using Grade A Clear Western Red Cedar. All furniture is surface sanded to a fine smooth finish and is available in knock-down or unassembled unfinished kits.

Western Red Cedar fibers contain oils that act as natural preservatives to help the wood resist rot and decay making it excellent furniture material for moist or humid climates.

Original, beautiful and whimsical Outdoor Water Fountains. Each garden fountain is handmade in California. The movement and sound of the recirculating water in these fountains are wonderful. Each fountain is self contained with it’s own recirculating pump.

One of the best additions you can make in your garden is a bird bath.  Metal bird baths will not only attract birds to your home, but it will keep them coming back for a drink or a dip in the water. 

You can find some really affordable bird baths online, and the ones you can find aren’t ugly or an eyesore.  If you really do your homework, you can find something that you’ll want to keep in your backyard for years.

Compost is one of nature’s best mulches and soil amendments, and you can use it instead of commercial fertilizers. Best of all, compost is cheap. You can make it without spending a cent. Using compost improves soil structure, texture, and aeration and increases the soil’s water-holding capacity. Compost loosens clay soils and helps sandy soils retain water. Adding compost improves soil fertility and stimulates healthy root development in plants.

The organic matter provided in compost provides food for microorganisms, which keeps the soil in a healthy, balanced condition. Nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus will be produced naturally by the feeding of microorganisms, so few if any soil amendments will need to be added.  The material can be placed in compost bins, among other storage units.

 Outdoor Ottomans by All Things Cedar

Manufactured from Chinese Oak which has been kiln dried to less than 1% — virtually no warping or cupping. Stained with a light oil for additional weatherproofing from the elements and gives a uniform appearance to the wood. Mortise and tenon joinery using Swedish exterior grade Casco Nobel glue. Solid brass fittings with high quality fasteners gives superior holding strength.

Fully assembled.

Chinese Oak wood is dense finer grained hardwood about 5% harder than Red Oak. The heartwood is light brown and some boards have a lighter pinkish tint to them. Chinese Oak is a more durable material than Red Oak and is ideal for outdoor furniture. The tannic acid in the wood protect it from fungi and insect attack.

Information about the manufacturer:
SMB produces finished products in a small scenic farm community named Wallenstein Ontario. The company runs on diesel energy honoring their religious requirements. They still use horse and buggy and are hard working, friendly, spirited people. Millside was created several years ago branching off from SMB to specialize in toy wagons and garden carts. Bauman Sawmill has also been created handling all the requirements having to do with wood, harvesting, milling, bending, creating many different wood products. They outsource their skills to land owners who also want to harvest select hardwood trees using the Mennonite Clydesdale Horse Teams that leave the forest undamaged in comparison to the destruction today’s forestry equipment creates.

Their products are all very high quality, and the principle of the community is to keep their community healthy by hard work, and not necessarily profit as their needs are few.
