As traditional carpenters we employ a wide variety of carpentry techniques to ensure that we produce a superior and long lasting product. We specialize in using mortise and tenon joints where appropriate to give enhanced strength and structural integrity. We also employ a wide variety of construction techniques including dovetail joints, biscuits joints, miters joints, dado and rabbet joints and of course chamfering on most side edges.

We prefer to use teak dowels for outdoor furniture. However, sometimes the use of a modern stainless steel screw is stronger than a traditional dowel. If a screw is used in the construction then it will be countersunk and a teak pellet (or cap) is then fitted into the recess and hand sanded to ensure a beautiful and clean fit.

Our Teak Patio Furniture products are crafted by skilled Indonesian Artisans using mortise and tenon joinery, solid brass hardware and finished with a light rub of teak oil.

Made from environmentally friendly Plantation Teak in Jakarta, Indonesia. The plantation is regulated by a government agency who sets guidelines as to the number and size of trees which can be harvested, as well as the numbers of trees which are replanted for future generations.

Included is a 1-1/2 inch umbrella hole with solid brass fittings and a ingeniously designed lower pole stabilizer that eliminates the need for an umbrella base or pole weight.

 Outdoor Ottomans by All Things Cedar

Manufactured from Chinese Oak which has been kiln dried to less than 1% — virtually no warping or cupping. Stained with a light oil for additional weatherproofing from the elements and gives a uniform appearance to the wood. Mortise and tenon joinery using Swedish exterior grade Casco Nobel glue. Solid brass fittings with high quality fasteners gives superior holding strength.

Fully assembled.

Chinese Oak wood is dense finer grained hardwood about 5% harder than Red Oak. The heartwood is light brown and some boards have a lighter pinkish tint to them. Chinese Oak is a more durable material than Red Oak and is ideal for outdoor furniture. The tannic acid in the wood protect it from fungi and insect attack.
